Does it hurt? Acupuncture needles are solid and fine — about the diameter of a cat’s whisker or a hair on your head. When inserted into the body they stimulate the nervous system and activate your body’s built-in ability to heal itself. You should not feel an acupuncture needle as it is inserted into your body. If a needle is uncomfortable for any reason we will adjust or remove it as necessary.
Do you reuse your acupuncture needles? Each acupuncture needle is single-use, sterile, and isolated in a medical waste container for disposal immediately upon removal.
Do you accept my insurance? We will assist you in submitting for your out-of-network acupuncture benefits. We will accept your payment at the time of treatment. We provide you with the necessary, completed forms for you to mail to your insurance company to apply for a personal refund.
Do I have to pay for parking? Our office is located on Northampton Street in downtown Easton inside the Easton Yoga building. This is a metered street with a $1 per hour rate. There is free, meter-less parking is available on both 5th and 6th Streets, which intersect Northampton Street both above and below our office. For your convenience, you may choose to park in front of the office, which will require paying a meter. I recommend you pay for an extra 15-30 minutes in addition to your estimated appointment length, allowing yourself time to mindfully exit the office at your own pace after treatment.
What if I need to cancel my appointment? We require 24 hours of notice in the event that you are not able to attend your appointment. Appointments missed or not rescheduled in this time frame will be charged in full.
How do I prepare for my appointment? Please complete the online medical forms that are emailed to you upon scheduling and submit them at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Wear or bring loose fitting clothing, drink plenty of water and do not come on an empty stomach. Be ready to relax, open, and heal in a compassionate, nurturing space
